Constantly Off Track

Such is my life. I have plans in my head on what I will get done each day. Most do eventually get done, some I just don't get to. When I woke up yesterday morning, it was not my intent to write a blog post but the inspiration hit me and I got it done. That was a good thing as I really must keep my blog going. This morning I got up intending to write a blog post. By now I've decided it will wait. Actually the post will be about my online earnings for June and July and I am still figuring. It's pathetic though how little I earn for the amount of hours I put in to it. No wonder I drive my van on empty most of the time and most of the time have not even change in my pocket. I have some sewing work I want to get done today. I think I can still get that done. What I plan to get done today though, is what I wanted to get done yesterday. I wanted to make it to Saturday Sampler at the quilt ship this afternoon. It's still 45 minutes until it starts, but since I just could not get to sleep until sometime after 5 am, and stayed in bed until after 11 am, I feel I just don't have the time to go. I had set myself up a schedule of sorts that probably only makes sense to me. That schedule is one day list something in my etsy shop, next day list something up for sale on the local buy, sell, trade facebook page, next day list another book on half.com. Yesterday I decided then the next day would be to get a blog post up. Like I said, probably only makes sense in my mind, but if it's keeps me active in getting things up for sale then that's what I need to do. I will stop rambling now as you have probably already stopped reading anyway. Have a good Saturday and best of luck with any plans you have.

I wonder if you might be able to accomplish more if instead of doing one thing on your list or several set down and figure what things you need to do. Then do a little of each thing each day. I think you might find that you accomplish more that way.

Pretty much what I already do....a little each day. As far as my projects go that is the reason none get done quickly---I work on one then another over only one until it's finished. I think I am ADD in the sense that I have a hard time sticking to just one thing.

@marsha32 ....I would get bored to distraction if I just kept on one project to its completion. I like to see new colors and such.

The schedule for listing something for sale each day is a good idea. I listed a lot of my daughters clothes for sale on facebook groups yesterday. I like things to sell before listing more. I have a ziggle bike I want to list tomorrow.

I like that our group is changed now and our personal listings stay on the top for us to see. Before I had to bookmark them to get back to them. Plus they added a button to mark sold too.

Is this picture from your trip to Arizona? I would say at least you have some goals in mind so you have a direction to head in.That is better than I am doing at this point.

I never make lists or plans. Because when I do they never pan out. I hate when I do think of something I want to get done and then get sidetracked. Then I never get around to doing the thing I wanted or sometimes I forget.

There is the problem I am facing. I have my plans for the day set in my head then something gets in the way and totally throws my brain off.

@marsha32 That happens to me all the time. So I don't bother making plans. I think I am better off waiting for the day to start before I decide what I need to do.

I try not to let it bother me like I once did. I have loads of regular activities I do throughout the month. This morning I made myself mad by oversleeping. I didn't leave myself any time at all to get a little head start on online stuff before church.

Yeah It kind of happens with me too but I guess it all comes down to randomness in life. lol. I think sometimes it's okay to stay off the track.

@marsha32 it sounds like me. I try to set up a schedule but my mind keeps jumping to other things. I think of things to write and get sidetracked and can't remember what I was going to write.
