Weight Loss Goals Update

To keep myself accountable to all those who were kind enough to comment on my post about my weight loss goals I will attempt to post an update at least once a week.
Last week I had weighed myself. So when I weighed myself at the pool this morning, I was pleasantly surprised to see I had lost 3 pounds. Must be all the moving I'm doing.
I spent a wonderful two hours at the pool this morning. When I went I wondered if I would even be able to be in the water for one hour, let alone two.
I checked in at the Y about quarter to 7 AM and got into a nice warm pool where I met some nice women and with just a simple moving around to keep my legs and arms moving, I enjoyed getting to know the ladies there.
At 7:45 I found myself in an exercise class. Now this was new to me, sort of. I have done water exercise before, not water aerobics though. I'm going to need to practice the grapevine a bit so I get used to it in water.
I did need to get myself out of the deeper water so my feet were touching bottom. Not moving around was the hard part as I found myself unable to stand in a certain place to do those exercises, something else I will need to practice. But as the exercise program is three times a week, I should get the hang of it soon.
So that was another 45 minutes for the exercise class, then I was back in the regular pool for a few minutes, but as they were getting ready for the kiddy exercise class, it was time to hit the hot tub before going home.
So that was how I started this morning out. Exercise class is Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. So I'll be in the pool for at least two hours on those days and who knows how long on Tuesday and Thursday. Though most likely only one hour tomorrow as I need to be here by 9 AM as my mattress will arrive between 10&2. We'll see. The Y opens at 5 AM so if I can get in early enough tomorrow, I could easily get two hours in the pool.
Right now my knees are letting me know how they feel about all the water exercise they got this morning, but it's a nice ache, knowing there's a very good reason for how much they hurt at the moment.
So three pounds down and two hours in the pool. Not a bad first day.
How has your day gone so far?

@BelleStarr I decided not to go to the aerobics class this morning. I really beat up my left knee on Friday and it's still painful. I'm getting plenty of other exercise with packing and moving. That will be complete next week.

Congratulations! Next week, if I can get an appointment, I will see a diabetologist and they, with her help, I´ll try to lose some weight.

Sounds like a fun way to get in some exercise without constant pounding on your knees. Awesome start to your day

The pool is the best part of my day. My knees feel so good after being in the water, and I love the exercise class. Hopefully soon I'll catch on with all the different moves they make. The exercises are very much the same as regular aerobics, just in water. So a lot easier in my opinion. I just need to get my legs and arms to coordinate with the movement involved. I'm just glad it's not zumba. I would be lost.

Yes, and I'm so happy with it. I've been in the pool every day this week and will be back tomorrow and Saturday as well before I go to my class reunion.

@just4him the less weight there is the better chance, still if you are stuck with it, maybe later you can start getting fun canes. make it a style thing too

@Jessicalynnt If I'm stuck with a cane the rest of my life I'm going to need to get one of those with four feet on the bottom for better stability.

3.7 pounds is not fat. Now I had a 'sweet' weekend. Class reunion and church picnic. I put that much back on. But I'm still swimming and I'm still packing, so I'm getting plenty of exercise to counter the calories I consumed this past weekend.
