Do any of you remember some of the silly tv series that came on in the 50's? Betty White had one on called Life With Elizabeth and Steve Allen had a show on and did skits with Louie Nye and Don Knotts, the guy who played Fife on Andy Griffith.
But, from September, 27,1964 to September, 8, 1965 there was a tv series on that might have been popular today. It was called "My Living Doll" with Julie Newmar(Catwoman) and Bob Cummings who was a comedic movie star in the 30's and 40's. Had a great premise. He was a air force shrink and was assigned to teach a sexy robot how to be a full fledged woman.
March 2012 some bootlegged episodes appeared on DVD. My Living Doll: The Official Collection Vol. 1
Here is an excerpt from one of the episodes:
This opening sequence to the TV show My Living Doll shows Julie Newmar in the "baby doll" nightie - quite gorgeous!

She was cute in that show. I barely remember My Living Doll. Good premise though.

Most of this was before I did a whole lot of TV watching. Actually, I did watch cartoons back then.

Oh I remember that show! Never would have come to mind though, if you hadn't posted this! How about "My Mother the Car" that was real groovy, lol

Bob Cummings was always a favorite mine, as was and is Betty White. I remember Julie Newmar from "Route 66" roles. Steve Allen was great jazz piano player as well as a raconteur and host.

I liked him too. He had a way about his comedy that I enjoyed. Steve Allen did one show I remember that I really enjoyed. He would host characters from the past and it was a round table sort of thing. Didn't last long but I enjoyed it.

I've never heard of My Living Doll. I really like Bob Cummings in Dial M for Murder and the Carpetbaggers.

Though I have not heard of this moive, nor have I ever seen it, I think that it must be very interesting from the description. I would like to find some time watching it if it can be found and seen online.
Recently I have seen two TV series about young people's life and work. They are very nice and touching TV series. I am glad that I finished watching them together with my wife.
