Do You Grill?

Just curious how many of you cook foods outside on a grill, and if you do what kind? The picture is of our newer charcoal grill which we bought this summer. We used to have a propane one but it was old and leaked propane, so we quit using it a few years ago. We've went without until this year. Picture and post done on my tablet. It looks like I'll have to turn the image around once I'm back inside and on my PC.

I love to grill, and grill about anything. Sadly, we rarely take the time to do it except on special occasions. I bought a little charcoal grill for camping. Our large propane grill "broke" long ago and just sits in the yard. Hubby bought a smoker for $800 and I about killed him. He cooked on it a lot for the first few months, now it sits in the garage filthy. The latest me cooked on the grill was baked potatoes. That was my granddaughters birthday dinner request.

I think I'll be more limited cooking with this small charcoal grill, plus it's been years since we've had this type and so I'm out of practice. Some years ago just before I began writing on bubblews I spent a lot of time cooking many things on our propane grill even through the winter months. But, once I began writing more I'd forget about what was cooking outside because I'd come inside to wait and write while waiting. After that I cooked outside less and less. It's been at least two years since we've had any kind of grill and I didn't want to put a lot of money into one. It's a bit of work cleaning out the burnt charcoal before adding more and waiting for the fire to burn down before putting the food on it.

We don't grill very often but it is nice on a hot day to not cook inside. I use the burner on the side to blanch my garden vegetables to avoid using the stove too.

I probably should rephrase that, but I meant what kind of grill do you use, not what kind of cooking on the grill. Most people do barbecue although some just season their foods and cook them on the grill for a better taste.

I have a gas grill and I love to do all sorts of barbecuing on it...everything from meat to veggies and sometimes even a grilled peach or pineapple slices

My husband does the grilling. We usually grill steaks, burgers, veggies, some fruits, and ribs. My sons chipped in and bought my hubby a new huge gas grill for a Father's Day gift a few years ago. It is now permanently hooked up to our propane tank which we use for our gas fireplace and gas range top. Nothing tastes better than charcoal or gas bbq! Enjoy!

I prefer charcoal over propane. The food taste much better. We grill our food all summer long. We cook everything chicken, steak, pork, hamburgers, sausages, hit dogs, all our veggies. When we are camping we like to cook over the open fire. Our favorite meal is breakfast over the fire. It is so good.
