So Does It Have to Be Drank With Salt Indeed ?

This pertains to the margarita we ladies drank when we had our night out with our former high school batchmates as I have discussed in http://www.mylot.com/post/2962502/margarita-night . You see , one of the ladies , wiped the iodized salt on the lid of the wine glass before she sipped her margarita . I was from the end and saw it . But had I been near her , I would have whispered , it is delicious being sipped with some salt . When I ran out of salt in my wine glass I asked for more of it before I sipped my margarita . It really adds a delicious taste to it . For those who have tasted margarita , do you drink it with the salt on the lid of the wine glass ?

Oh sugar . I wonder how it tastes as the margarita itself is already a bit sweet too .

I typically pass on the salt unless a Bloody Mary is involved. Salt is also used to cut down the bitterness in some drinks.

@SIMPLYD Bloody Mary is a cocktail of vodka, tomato juice and spices.

I put salt on the rim of the glass of my husband when we drink Margarita, I prefer it without salt. Anyway, in Mexico it is served in the special glass with the salted rim.

Indeed , i agree to that . No wonder i was able to have six glasses of margarita that night . It tastes so delicious . But i didn't have a headache nor a hangover after that . I went to the office the next day so lively .

I always have a salted margarita glass, but some people may find it too salty or have to limit their salt intake. Not us! Cheers!

yes it is better that way but some people do not tolerate a lot of salt well even when they like it a lot. sadly
