What Is the Longest You've Ever Gone Without TV?

Currently I've gone 9 years and 5 months without TV. That's not the longest I've ever gone, though. I once went 12 years without TV. I know some people who can't even go one day without it. What's the longest you've ever gone?

Damn you must be reaaaalllly productive with your time then? TV usually takes a 3rd of peoples time.

When I moved into a new flat years ago I decided not to have a TV. I lived there for 4.5 years and in all that time I never got one (although I would sometimes watch odd programmes at other people's places). I just didn't miss it and I was very happy with radio.
