PORCUPINE! Yes, the kids went camping for one night and that night was spent pulling quills out of the poor guys nose, face, mouth and hard to say where else. They went to Murdoch's and got some medication for him to calm him down so they could get the last two quills out of his mouth. I feel so sorry for him but my daughter-in-law really hasn't made him mind. So he took off when he smelled something and now he is suffering. I hope that he doesn't do it again.

Let's hope he has learnt his lesson. Poor fellow. I guess he'll be in pain for a while.

I sure hope so. He is a very hyper dog and I hate seeing him have to learn lessons the hard way.

@sugartoes That's the problem. Brian and I worked with him but no one else. I wasn't around him that much but that doesn't work. They just need to find a home for him.

@sugartoes I already found homes for 9 goats, 9 ducks, 2 dogs and some chickens. I know that I can find him a good home. What is going on with you?

aw, poor thing! those quills aint fun to remove 'n they sting purty good, too. i wish pups'd learn such lessons, but sadly many don't. i'd a friend who's horse actually tangled with one a few years back while out'n the trail. she's nary a clue what to do'n brought him here. took hours to get 'em all out 'n lots 'f painkillers :(

Poor dog, I hope that he learned to recognize the porcupine. I stay far away from those animals.

I sure hope so. When the kids told me about how hard it was to get the last two out I almost cried.

I'm sure the dog will think twice about what he smells next time, especially if it's a porcupine. They do remember things like that.

He was hurting for sure. He is also a very hyper dog and I have seen him do things over and over. I was working with him and he used to mind me very well. But things happened and I wasn't around him much.

Ow. Poor dog. I hope he doesn't do it again. The worst my dog did was get sprayed with a skunk.
