This morning my hubby and I wandered around Walmart trying to find a travel pillow. I thought it would be with the regular bed pillows or maybe the decorative pillows. My husband had no idea where to look. Well, it wasn't either place that I though it might be. Believe it or not, it was with the luggage. Now that I am home I see why they put it there. It's called a travel pillow because you use it when traveling. Duh! Anyway, I now have one. Yesterday, or was it the day before? I was watching several videos about thyroid surgery and recovery and in several of them the person mentioned a travel pillow. They said they wished they had taken one to the hospital. It turns out that it makes you more comfortable after surgery because of the support it offers you neck. So, of course, I just plain old had to get one. I'll let you know if it really does help you be more comfortable during recovery. Image from flickr via Creative Commons: https://www.flickr.com/photos/kellinahandbasket/4396413527

@crazyhorseladycx I am pretty sure it is the same one. I am finding that it is a comfortable little pillow. It makes me wonder why I never tried it before. I think they change the merchandise around so you will spend more time in the store looking around. Nice of you to get the pillow for you mom.

@HazySue the nurses 'n doc's were impressed with 't, too, lol. 'n fact, the store was bought out 'f 'em 'fore the next day - yepperz, they bought all they'd'n the shelves. took 'bout 3 months fer me to find 'nother. they're purty durable, too ('t least the ones i got momma). she uses 't e'ery day 'n still swears 'tis jest 's comfy. i've needed to make her a few more covers fer 't, 's the original wore out 'fter 'bout a year 'f washin'. yepperz, that'd be their ploy. to get folks to buy more'f what they don't need, lol. my momma's 'tis my lil angel 'n i'd do anythin' to make her comfy 'n happy 's can be.

Now days you don't stay in the hospital long after surgery. How long will you be in there?
