Its been almost two years that I have been looking for the perfect fabric to re-cover my family room lounge suite, and last week I found what I was looking for - well close enough. Yesterday they collected the lounge suite to take it to the upholsterers and now my family room - or as they call it in some countries "TV Lounge", looks like a camping site. I have stone floors which makes it look even more outdoors'ish - the family were all giggling while watching some television last night, luckily the dining room table was still in play for dinner - so no eating on the laps like at a campsite. This is how it will be for at least 8 days as that is the estimated time they have give me for it to be done. I have found the fabric for the scatter cushions, so tomorrow - because its not a bowling day - I shall purchase enough and do the scatter cushions myself. Then I am going to do some canvas printing of our Lighthouse pictures - Greece is number one on the list and so are many of the others we saw in Europe - that is the theme of my new TV room - Lighthouses and the colour Duck egg blue. So what do you think? Kinda like having a holiday in the middle of the week - they say that a change is a good as a holiday!!

I hope you are comfortable enough to enjoy your "camping area" while watching TV. We had the same situation in Monte-Carlo when we renovated the living room. We had our meals on a small picnic table in the hallway for about 10 days.

this will be the first time I am doing anything in 21 years - I dont like change either but the wear and tear on the couch from Shilo lying on them as well, has deemed it necessary to recover them. I did not choose anything elaborate nor expensive - just ordinary and practical that can be washed over and over again

It must seem a bit strange sitting in camping chairs in the lounge. They are quite comfortable though aren't they?
