Our Day Yesterday

What a great morning it is here. The humidity is down a bit and there is a nice cool breeze. I'm not sure how long it will stay like this but I'm going to enjoy it for as long as it's here.
Yesterday my brother and I went for haircuts and then ran errands. It's surprising how a good haircut can make you feel so good. Afterward, we went to Shoe Carnival as they were having a sale. Buy one and get one-half off. I really needed some new tennis shoes. I was able to find the new Sketchers with memory foam.
The picture above is of my new shoes. They are lightweight and feel so good on my feet. I have a lot of problems with my feet due to neuropathy and my feet really love these shoes! My brother bought a pair of Nike shoes. I just don't understand why men's shoes are so much more expensive than women's are.
Next, we moved on to Walmart to pick up stuff we needed. It seems we can never get out of there paying less than $150.00. But, we did get stuff like toilet paper, paper towels, dog treats, dog food, dog pads, shampoo, deoderant, hair spray, etc. Right in the middle of shopping, I experienced a really bad hot flash and it was already hot in the store. Sweat was just pouring off my face and head. I started feeling bad because of it and it was all I could do to finish shopping. My brother asked it I wanted to go and check out the new adult coloring books and I said no, I just want to go home. He knew I was serious when I said that..lol.
Once we got in the car and I had all the car vents on me, I cooled off and felt so much better. I thought I was over with the hot flashes but mother nature showed me different.
After shopping, we went to a Mexican restaurant for lunch. We were both so hungry and we both ordered chimichangas. It was one of the worse meals we have ever had. The cheese dip tasted like it came out of a can. The meal tasted like it had been frozen and then cooked in the microwave. We both left over half of our meal and we will not go back.

I don't have the patience anymore to wear my hair long. If I could just wash it and not have to worry about it, it would be different. My hair frizzes if I don't curl it or use a hot iron. When my hair is short, I can just wash and go. I don't think I have ever had Mexican food that was so bad. We left way over half of our food and it was just a waste of money.

@simone10 mine hair 'tis baby fine 'n i jest wash 'n go :) i can see where havin' thicker/'r e'en wavy hair might be 'f some trouble. i fear i'd been hollerin' 't the manager 'n tellin' 'em how awful the food t'was. i'm saddened that y'all'd such a bad 'xperience.

@crazyhorseladycx My hair is very thick and kind of course so it want's to frizz when it is long. Not so much when it is short. I don't think letting the manager know would have made any difference as that is the way they cook. I really think everything is either frozen or out of a can.

I love the shoes. They had a lot of different colors, some that were really wild looking. I really liked them and started to get a pair but thought at my age I should tone it down a bit so I went with a color that wasn't quite as flashy. I also hate wasting money on bad food and this place was really awful.

Oh bummer, on all counts. I have never had hot flashes but one of my friends does and I know debilitating they are. And the meal, isn't that the worst when the meal is so disappointing? I am a real foodie so bad food really upsets me.

I haven't been feeling good since our company left on Monday. I have been in the bed. I have neuropathy in my feet and have been in so much pain. But, I tried something different yesterday and the pain hasn't been so bad. I will see if it works again today.

Your shoes are nice. I like it too, and have one for walking, so soft and comfortable. That Mexican restaurant had shooed you away!
