Lack of rain means time to sell the boat

Wehave a small Jon Boat that my husband used for paddling around in the pond. Well, the boat has come to the end of its life with us. Since we have had very little rain since early spring, and we are down about thirteen inches of rain for the year, it has taken a toll of lots of things. One of them is our pond. It is spring fed, there are two springs feeding it actually. The water coming down the mountain is at a trickle and the pond had dropped by 5 or 6 feet at this point. The boat is no longer needed and the decision was made to sell it. It comes with a very well-built and home-made trailer which is actually big enough to tow a much larger boat. We don't have a motor, just oars, but a motor can be added if someone wants to take it out on the lake. This morning's job for my husband is to give the boat a good bath and we'll put a 4-sale sign on and stick it out by the road and see what happens. This type of boat sells very well around here.
