"How long have you been in the U.S.A.?"

I just wanted to ask someone that question a few minutes ago, but I didn't. Instead, I gave them a valid answer. "Yeah, it's about 250 miles or so North". But I have no clue WHY you are in Olney...or Illinois...or even the U.S.A. when you ask me "Is Chicago in Illinois"? Have I just seen proof that Aliens exist? And were they legal? The world may never know

Most of us from the southern part of the state think Chicago should be its own state and GTFO of Illinois, but that's a different discussion topic

@vandana7 There is no noise in Illinois, the 's' is silent...plus I don't have my stereo on

Go speak with one of my sisters. She can't figure Idaho from Iowa. Cause they start with the letter I.

Perhaps it's time to start singing songs about states. Here is a fun song about Iowa @sallypup

@RasmaSandra Thanks. I know how I pronounce Des Moines (Iowa.) Not sure how others do.

@RasmaSandra I remember the smell of Iowa hogs on the way from Grinnell to Des Moines.

@TheHorse Yeah, that's kind of what I thought too. He was Hispanic, but sounded like he'd been in the area all his life by his vocal inflections.

Haha I live in Illinois as well, and in my experience if you don't live in Illinois, then you think that Chicago is it's own state. That or all of Illinois is Chicago...one of the other.
