Do you have a habit of scrutinizing your own self for the sole purpose of becoming better?

Good day to all! I have been not here for quite a few days. I was eaten whole by a lot of paperwork and deadlines. I honestly missed Mylot.
During those days, I was also reflecting on a short story that I have read. I have been planning to do short story reviews on my blog. It was all about a relationship between siblings. As I was doing my review, I could not help thinking of my own relationship with my siblings, with my actions, and with my thinking.
A self-reflection habit is a must for each one of us. It helps us recognizing our own strengths and weaknesses. It also gives us a room to spot our wrong- doings and stop whatever unwanted behavior we possessed.
Do you have a habit of scrutinizing your own self for the sole purpose of becoming better?

They say one's self should be their biggest critic. I think though it should not be too much as it would dampen you self confidence which is necessary in most things in life. There should be a balance on criticizing one's self over building self confidence.

agree. sometimes you feel so inferior that you're unaware of your own good traits and abilities until someone tells you.

Takes me longer to realize how bad I am doing to the point of even talking to myself not to do this and that. it takes a lot.

We need to be open-minded. I have observed that some people are only open to praise but not into criticism.
