What games do you play to relax?

I have a few word game apps on my phone, which I like to play when I have a bit of spare time. I love anagram solving games. I also play a quirky Japanese game called Neko Atsume, which is a cat collecting game. Basically there are 56 cats to collect and you have to attract them with a combination of food and toys. 20 of these are 'rare' cats which take a bit more effort to find. You have a virtual 'yard' which you can extend and remodel over time as you earn virtual currency. It must all sound very pointless, but it's surprisingly addictive and there's something rather cheery about logging in and seeing all these cute felines playing with their different toys or snoozing in your yard. The graphics are great, the cats all have different names and characteristics and the app is free. What's not to like! What are your favourite games to play?

@5thHouse I was addicted for a bit but once I got to a level that I couldn't beat I got tired of playing the same level over and over again and just lost interest.

Sounds like a great game. I often do a jigsaw or two online and I've also done a quizzes over and over which has resulted in me being able to name all the US states and where they are; same with UK and Irish counties. Now I'm working on UK cities.

@5thHouse I use Sporcle, and JetPunk also has some quite good quizzes. My geographic knowledge was just about zilch.

@5thHouse And the other thing was I wanted to know where in the US and UK did all my Mylot friends come from. So now when I see 'Oregon' for instance I immediately know the area.

We enjoy doing quizzes on Sporcle. It's fun when the whole family joins in.

I don't play games on my phone because it's only intended for texting and calling. Here on the laptop, sometimes, I play solitaire.

Clash of Clans also sounds pointless if you try to explain the game to someone who doesn't know it. I normally don't play to much games on my phone since I enjoy my console a whole lot more, but Clash of Clans is nice for me.

The only game I play is virtual poker - they start you off with a $1million dollars and it's a good way to learn poker without it costing anything.
