Have you ever served on a jury?

I received a jury summons in the mail today (although I had to postpone serving -- I'm a breastfeeding mother whose baby would definitely suffer if I had to be sequestered for any period of time). This is my 4th jury summons in my life, and I've never been able to serve on a jury yet. I'd kind of like to, even though I had to decline this time. Have you ever served on a jury? Did you enjoy it?

That would be a great experience but The republic of the Philippines only has a judge trial system, we do not have a jury system but it interests me a lot to watch how it goes in TV programs

I have never served on a jury or received a summons and I have no desire to. I could never sleep at night if I had to decide somebody's fate. It wouldn't be for me.

I totally understand what you mean! I don't think I would be comfortable serving on a jury where I could potentially cause someone to be imprisoned for life or executed. Quite often they're much smaller issues.

I wouldn't even want to do it on a smaller issue. It just isn't for me.

I've been summoned probably 4 or 5 times, but I've never had to go. When I call the number the night before, I find that my number is in the range that does not need to report. I was pretty sure I'd have to report the last time, because I had accidentally missed it once before, but they still did not require me to go. I'm OK with that, since I had a friend who recently had to serve on a jury for a trial that went on for weeks.

No I have never served, we do not have popular jurors here, only professional jurors.

I have not, which I find strange because I am a registered voter

I'm really surprised that I haven't been able to serve even once in the 26 years that I've been eligible for it.

I only served once and it was okay. There is sometimes a lot of waiting around before you get picked, etc.

I never serve on a jury and thank God.
