Another All-Nighter

Here I am in the middle of yet another all-nighter. I was going to hit the sack, but it's already 2:30am, so I figured I might as well stay up.
I love all-nighter's. With my girlfriend in bed, I feel like I've got the entire house to myself because it's so quiet. I like to sit here in the dark and just be.
It's also nice and quiet outside, albeit a bit chilly. I've been going outside every half hour or so. With very little traffic, I can clearly hear the creek across the street, which is quite relaxing.
So I'm pulling yet another all-nighter.
I will need some coffee, however.

I do remember back when I first started that I spent many nights up all night, although back then I didn't have a job and my youngest wasn't yet attending school. Now that I have a job staying up all night is much more difficult. Although last night when I saw the clock at 12:45 I seriously gave some thought to staying up all night, that alarm going off at 5 is just to damn early. I find that as I get older I really need a full 7 to 8 hours of sleep each night. I rarely get the house to myself.

@teamfreak16, no it is not. I do miss those days at times, when the house is all quite and you can play on the internet or read a book or watch tv, with no interruptions.

It's definitely no fun if you have to get up early and go to work.

@beaniefanatic13 - That's exactly why I do it every once in a while.

I always thought they were kind of underrated. Although Bob Geldof has done well for himself.

I kind of like sitting in the dark.

I used to stay up all night more or less every night
Was great to go through the various time zones of members here and know pretty often who'd be on when
Now I've got a job I can't stay up as the majority of my shifts start at 7am and then I work a few hours and go back later until 10pm so I've got very little free time now and find i'm so tired I can't do much.
I'm off until friday now though so maybe i'll do a couple of all nighters

Yes coffee is a must after an all nighter but sometimes it is best to just stay up once you pass a certain time. A few hours sleep makes you feel more tired. I, too, enjoy the peace and quiet when it is just me up.
