One thing I frequently misplace - other than my mind

Yes, it is true, I've misplaced by mind many times over the years. Some people tend to think I never found it - wrong....
But there is something else that I often misplace. Yesterday I found my stud earring on the floor of the shower, but the back of the earring was gone. I searched the bedroom, in the sheets, etc...which is where I usually find earrings. No luck.
This morning at breakfast my husband presented me with the back for my earring. He found it in the bathroom, on the floor. Since he isn't really a functioning human when he first gets up I was shocked he found it.
Now I'm back in business until the next time I misplace an earring or earring back. My mind, however, I have no control over.

I only wear earrings (studs) and wedding band....never take wedding bad off in eighteen years.

@AbbyGreenhill I never take off my wedding band, it's on my finger from 45 years now. I take off my rings because I do not want to damage the gems.

@LadyDuck My rings are in the safe. I don't wear them. I guess my niece will wind up with them so I should just give them to her soon.

I never misplace glasses since I always have them on when I'm awake and I don't drive so keys are not a problem either.

I can say that I have never misplaced an earring, but my wife reminds me often to keep track of my mind.

I have two size backs and one is so tiny you need a magnifying glass to find it - the one today is a little bigger and on the tile floor it showed easily for him. My mind is a whole 'nother story LOL.

I have lost more jewelry than I care to count. And then I had to sell the rest some years ago. I haven't gotten much since, and I don't ask for it as gifts because I know how I am. That said, earrings can be very easy to lose, let alone the backs, so you are not alone in that..

I have a dozen pair of studs and three sets of backs - the rest of the backs are probably in the vac. cleaner LOL.

I lost my mind years ago. I haven't bothered to look for it. Earrings, well I can't wear studs to bed. As I have trouble putting earrings on, I put little loops in four years ago and left them. I'll change them out in another year or two.

My earrings only come out to clean them. I could never sleep in hoops. We all have our 'little things' don't we LOL.
