Ok, some of you already know I’ve adopted ma’s old kitties, right? Well, unbeknownst to me Max is a glutton and will do everything he can to keep Meetzee from getting a bite to eat even going so far as to eat so fast he’d get sick YUCK!!! Well I’ve nipped that old habit of his in the bud, now I soak the kibble so it’s soft enough for his old teeth to chew then I only give each two teaspoons of the stuff in separate bowls .... he hasn’t gotten sick since I started this but he also won't eat the whole bowl full and Meetzee won't eat his leftovers which I just don't get. Felines are so dang fickle. The picture I posted is of the mountains over by Las Cruces NM, I took myself on a daytrip and used the long way round to get where I wanted to go and when I saw their mountains I had to grab a shot. So tell me what ya think of our desert region out this way. Wouldn't you want to visit the land of enchantment?

Is that all they get - two teaspoonsful? Or do you give them some more later? Yes, I'd love to visit that desert, and I'd love to visit you

Oh, they get that much at least 3 times a day and so far no more mess I would love that but let me buy a nicer home first, this place is truly a dump and I have 4 kritters living indoors with me. There is a resort you would love if you want a really luxurious week or so around here it's called the Inn of the Mountain Gods and it sits on the Mescalero Indian Reservation.

I always loved the desert regions we visited off and on. Your photo is lovely and good job with the kitties.

You'd be amazed at just how much unique beauty lies within our desert, I've lived here 56 years and still haven't seen all of it.

I can imagine @RubyHawk I haven't lived near a forest since we were in Germany back in the late 1950s.

@rebelann I think every place is beautiful in it's own way. I would love to see the desert. When my little granddaughter came here for a visit. She loved getting out in the grass and under trees. it was so new to her.

Yes they usually do from where I was, they are about 25 miles north of where I took the pictures, I'll be posting a few more photos of closer mountains in the region I was in.
