Ever have a breakfast club at work? I have only worked at one place where that was done. But it seems like a good idea! It wasn't mandatory or required. It's just something the co-workers came up with (with management approval) to take a break, socialize with each other, and improve their work relationships. Food is great binding agent! Once a month, those who participated in the breakfast club brought in their breakfast food of choice. Some brought in egg sandwiches, sausage and potato casserole, fresh fruit, donuts and pastries, and also juice, tea or coffee. Unfortunately, for me, it was just a temp job. But I was still invited to the club. It was fun! Do you do have something like that at your workplace? If not, do you think your co-workers would join in if you suggested it?
Most of us rarely cook breakfast for a large group, but when we do—say, when overnight guests are coming over for the holidays—it's a relief to have some easy recipes to turn to. To help you prepare, we've got tips for making scrambled eggs just the way yo

That temp job was several years ago with the City of Austin. I can't remember now. I just remember the food was good! I worked another job where the boss brought in breakfast tacos every Friday. That was good too!! And two temp jobs where folks brought in their "best pot of chili". Yum! And another temp job where they catered food for visitors but the workers got to eat any food that was left so that it didn't get thrown away. That job also had free flowing cappuccino. Alas! No more temp jobs for me. The “temp jobs well” ran dry for me back in 2007. That's why I'm working online for myself now. Any more questions?

@sol_cee - Memory fades but we also tend to remember what we want to remember.

I guess it is a good idea but I can imagine it would be hard for some to get away early enough to have time to eat breakfast with co-workers.

Like I said, it was approved by the supervisors. So the atmosphere was no pressure and workers could attend. I really liked working at that temp job. The people got their work done! There was no goofing off! But they still had time to build relationships. They got along well with each other! That's not always the case in some workplaces.

Retirement must be nice. That won't happen for me. I'll be working until I die. I've accepted it.

I never worked at a place that done that. It will be also good if they had a lunch club too.

Don't know if it was a breakfast club, but when I worked shifts on the weekend the company forked out for a breakfast. No wonder I put on weight, eating all those full English!

I think that is a great idea. I work in a small company so I am not so sure how that would work. We usually sit around and have our morning coffee together and chat before we all get to work. The school that my grand daughter use to go to had a breakfast club. They had a variety of food and the children would go there and have breakfast before they started classes.
