It's Mid-Autumn Festival or mooncake festival today! My neighbor just gave us some mooncakes - some traditional ones and some jelly ones (shown in the picture). He said these mooncakes are made by his sister. My elder children were playing lanterns and candles in the yard just now. They were really having fun. It's a nice day, but I forgot to check out the full moon! My son told me it's really round and bright. Have you eaten mooncakes before? Picture by me: The jelly mooncakes given by my neighbor

Sorry for my late greetings. These mooncakes look so nice and very professional, too. I almost thought they were made from the food company I haven't made the mooncakes for a long time. In the past when my child was little and I made it for fun. Now we just had the mooncakes from the hotels or food companies.

I'm sure your kids will enjoy the mooncakes. We had a nice view of the full moon last night too.

I haven't tasted a jelly mooncake, maybe it is delicious. I don't like the traditional one because it is so sweet.

I just read about the same Festival celebrated in Singapore... Is it a Chinese tradition or something? The jelly mooncakes look nice, do they have fillings too? I have eaten the traditional ones with mung beans, red bean paste, and lotus seed paste fillings...

I've tried those Jelly ones before and they taste great! I got sick of those normal ones like lotus paste with eggyork.I normally choose to eat the durian ones with snowskin or the yam with pastry skin.
