Do You Put Sweets In Drinks

People have always felt they can outdo brewers and distillers by mixing extra ingredients into alcoholic beverages. Other alcohols, ice, fruit slices, soft drinks, etc. – Cocktails turn such mixes into expensive drinks in their own right, often with stupid names. They even add undrinkable items like toy umbrellas and sparklers.
The latest trend is to tip a bag of confectionary sweets, notably Skittles into spirits such as Vodka. What next? Guinness with liquorice allsorts floating in it, or cider and Dolly Mixtures?
I like my beers and spirits neat. Do you add sweets to your alcohol?

it depends on what it is, sometimes I do. I like rum and coke, rather than rum. I like rum and nogg too.

@arthurchappell I've also had the little umbrellas in a cocktail or two.

Due to health issues I cannot put any sweets on any drink. Just diet material on my soft drinks.

I don't hear much about adding sweets, but I do know a place here in the states that infuses vodka with bacon.

@puddleglum I can imagine adding vodka to bacon but not the other way round - sounds horrible

@arthurchappell I've never tried it, but I agree with that assessment.
It does sound bad.

I do not add sweets because that would make them to sweet. I think many people like it that way though. They do have some pretty innovative concepts in the drink department.
