Indecisive when it comes to food! I want hard tacos.. he wants soft tacos!

I am trying to budget when it comes to food because we do spend quite a lot dining out but the reason is we are indecisive and totally opposite.
For instances, today he said he wanted something with rotisserie chicken so I suggested chicken tacos! But the problem is? I want the hard taco shells while he prefers the soft tacos!
Guess what? We'll have to buy both now
That's why we can't save money when it comes to food!

@infatuatedbby I couldn't face my altered way of eating alone. Hubby and I are battling it out together.

I had the same experience. But I was the one who always had to give in. So when we were together, we eat his food. I love seafood and Korean and Thai food and I could only eat those when I'm alone or with friends.

I have 2 picky eaters who see no reason for food compromises. Tried to get them to try almond butter as a change from peanut butter. Finally gave up

@sherryericha Hehe! Strawberry jam is alright, but I prefer the originally Grape Jelly. But they have all sorts of jelly available nowadays.

@infatuatedbby. I like creamy peanut butter and strawberry jam, too. We always had Grape jelly when I was a kid and now I only like it on corn muffins.

@infatuatedbby - That's true. She does stay away from things I don't like. Luckily, we both like tacos.

In situations like that, my husband will eat whatever is given to him. We used to use hard tacos but having the whole thing break when you bite into it just wasn't practical. So we now do the burrito tortilla roll when we have tacos which, by the way, I am planning for tomorrow night.

Hahaha!
Well, don't worry, think about it this way:
You are buying double the tacos, right? (Because hard tacos + soft tacos.)
But if you didn't buy double, you'd only be using the 1 pack for one day (well, it depends on how many tacos are in the pack and how hungry you are
).
Since you are buying double, you are actually buying for double the time, too. Two days worth of tacos instead of just one.
You don't have to have tacos again tomorrow, just make sure it's some day soon before the tacos go bad.

It's much cheaper to eat at home and you can make two semi-diffferent meals. We do it a lot - I don't eat red sauce so if I make it for my husband (using his sauce) I make mine with butter and veggies. Or if he gets ribs (pre made from the store) I heat up leftover chicken (I always have it in the freezer.)
When it comes to tacos - you can have all of them LOL....never ate one in my life.

But tortillas then fry it up to make hard shells for yourself. They taste a lot better like that also.

If there is fear of wastage; if you eat out quite often; and if you want to save, then you could compromise once in a while. For instance, one day you agree to buy soft tacos and the next time you can buy hard ones. And both times finish it. No worries about wasting, spoiling or doggy bags.

haha, that happens a lot, but we have a combination of what my mother likes and what I do. Some days it's something she likes better, somedays it's something I like better. We don't serve two different things at the same time
