Wow well I feel very honored right now. Last night I got a friend request on facebook from a girl who lives in Chicago and is very good friends with my brother in law. I decided she is probably safe and approved the request.
Within minutes I got a very sweet message from her that she is coming up in a month and really wants to meet my children and I. They will be moving here after the school year ends when her oldest child graduates.
I really look forward to meeting her even though I am very shy. My kids hate leaving the house so I'm not sure how well it will go meeting them for dinner but we will see. I definitley want to try.
She has been through a lot the past two years. Her husband who is under 50 suffered a massive stroke and seizures and now has dementia and doesn't remember her or her children at all. My heart breaks for her. I cannot imagine how heartbreaking that would be. He lives in a nursing facility.
She cannot afford to live there anymore so will be moving here closer to her family. She grew up here and moved away at 20.

I definitely will meet up with her and hope that a friendship developes. She said she is very outgoing so my shyness won't be bad as she is talkative enough for the both of us. Plus if my brother in law is there I will feel less nervous!

That's great she wants to meet you. Hopefully you can become good friends and your kids can have play dates. That's sad about her husband i hope the kids can still visit even though he doesn't remember them but i think if they keep visiting he may start to remember them again. But whatever choice she makes hopefully it's a good one and she is happy
