If someone has problems with lots of people ....

....it could be that person's own fault.
I know someone who has moved 4 times in the last three years and is trying to find another place to move to right now.
* One place the neighbors stole things (she says).
* The next place the neighbors gave her a hard time (she says).
* House number three she had problems with the landlord's rules (she says).
* The current home she has had problems with all the neighbors, her kids beating up other kids, kids with nasty language, not following rules, getting on the bad side of everyone.
She is always talking about punching someone out and getting down and dirty. She has a trash mouth and isn't afraid to use it. Her boys are always in trouble at school, on the bus and at home. She claims other kids pick on her boys but I highly doubt that.
If she would take a step or two back from the situation she would see that she is the common denominator. She uses foul language and so do her kids. She believes in hitting and so do her kids. She isn't big on following rules and neither are her kids. It isn't the neighbors, the landlords or other kids with the problem - it's her.
Her family tries to talk to her but she doesn't want their input. Those kids are going to grow up and have kids who will learn to be just like them. Someone needs to break the chain....but I don't think it will happen. She needs to realize she has a problem and get some help before it is too late.

She will never get it because she refuses to see that she has a problem and those poor kids don't stand a chance as long as things stay the way that they are. I have a neighbor who is much the same. She is always yelling at her kids but if somebody says something to her she is all over them but yet she thinks everybody else in the problem. She is always fighting and cursing the neighbours. I can't wait until the day comes that she moves out of our neighbourhood. It is a sad situation for the kids.

She sounds like the two of them could be sisters. I guess there are lots of people like those two. She's not young either.

Yes, when people have problems with everyone, everywhere they go, they might need to find the real source of the problems.

@AbbyGreenhill Maybe they are afraid. They might not like what they see!

Yes, she is the problem. It is sad that she is a negative influence on her kids.

And since they live hand to mouth I think it makes it worse because the kids don't have what the other kids have.

She looks a lot like a neighbor we had for only 3 months (thanks GOD
). She had a bad language and her kids too, she was complaining all the time and she thought that the house they rented was too expensive, too big, too much work to keep clean... Well, the owner of the house threw them out.

@AbbyGreenhill $400 of electric bills is a lot! I suppose it's the A/C that costs so much. I wonder how they can pay their bills.

@LadyDuck He was collecting disability and I would 'assume' they are/were on welfare or some other program. They get free medical I know that. Always going to the ER/hospital/doc. The area they live electric is extremely expensive..it's a private company unlike what I have which is cheap - my last bill was 204

This one is always looking for cheaper places to live. Right now they have a br 2 ba home in a not so nice area and I believe they only pay $600, but they have $400 electric bills and since her husband was out of work for months and just went back I have no idea how they pay their bills.

We say this about Hubby's brother in law. The guy can NEVER keep a job and he's always blaming it on the work conditions, the people, his boss, or some injury he got because of his job (that many times???). He is over 50 now and he is still pulling this . . . there is ALWAYS an issue with him wherever he goes.

@AbbyGreenhill This guy and my sister in law had 4 kids . . . all nearly grown but are not exactly self sufficient . . . they are not as bad as he is, but they've all got their serious lazy traits.

I had a friend who was a stand-up comedian. One of his lines was, "If you've been married nine times then maybe it's you."
Funny -- and quite true.

I was on my way to be just like that??? When you're in a frame of mind like that, everyone who is not with you is against you and must be destroyed?
I have grown up since? Amen

I truly think she hit it last week. She supposedly had a heart attack but she didn't go to the doc until two days later, which made/makes no sense to me. I wonder if she makes a lot of this up.

@AbbyGreenhill It does sound like mental illness. That is as valid as physical illness but sometimes harder to treat.

Her problems follow her around because she's the issue; yeah, I can think of people like that. My late mother's brother has been married three times and is now single. My grandmother always said he couldn't find a nice woman. A couple of years she finally admitted the problem was him! He was willing to blame it on his wives, but everyone save for my grandmother knew it was him. When is he going to realize it's not them! Probably never.
That lady will never be content, and that's a recipe for a lifetime of unhappiness.

You are correct and proof that many people do the same thing.the way she takes care of herself and her actions she probably won't live too many more years.

@AbbyGreenhill no matter where you go there will be rules to follow. She needs to get over herself and teach her children to follow rules. It's a fact of life - there are rules made for a reason.

I had a neighbor like that ONCE, so I'm assuming it was her instead of me. Sadly the cycle will continue into another generation. She and her kids need help.

Yes, you are right about that. She causes her own problems, most of them anyway.
