Around the Corner

On the weekend, my daughter and I were out and about, a little shopping and a little geocaching near Niagara on the Lake.
The weather forecast wasn't great, but we often find that the weatherman lies, so we were hoping to at least find a few caches before the rain came down.
We missed our turn, so headed down a side road, looking for a place to turn around, the golf course parking lot, looked like a safe place on this windy, hilly road.
As we entered the parking lot we couldn't help noticing the crumpled guardrail.
Then we spotted it.
The sign!
We laughed and laughed. (You will need to click on the image to read the sign!)
This wasn't the first time the guardrail had been attacked.

Not me. I try to stay away from guard rails (unless I am hiding or searching for a geocache
).

The Calgary weatherman did not lie today! He forecasted it was going to rain today . . . and it is raining.

Darn! The picture won't get large enough for me to read the sign.

I resized the photo and reloaded. It appears on my screen.

We have a few of those bends here but they should put those signs here.

Then they'd be into the trees or the golf course parking lot. I'm sure that guardrail has saved some lives.

@norcal it's hard to tell from the photo where the guardrail runs. The road has a curve on the down hill. It is so close to the intersection that cars should not be moving that quickly.
, but people will always try to go faster than they should.
Moving the guardrail would also create a visibility problem for those pulling out of the parking lot.

@Morleyhunt I was thinking like, closer to the fire hydrant and further from the corner. Still, if it's saving lives, it's doing its job.

The rail already had more than one car it seems.
