Ready or Not!

Today is the day I've been working towards. All fair entries must be submitted today. There are 21 items ready to go.
Last night I said enough. I had just finished the pin cushion that has been awaiting my attention for the last two years. It took me about 15 minutes once I had assembled my materials. This should have been finished long ago.
This morning in a rush of inspiration I made a Christmas ornament. It took longer than anticipated. Mostly because my beads are missing. Now I'm trying to remember when and where I last saw them.
Once the entries have been dropped off at the fairgrounds it will be wait and see. Normally I would go on Thirsday evening to see whether or not I had won any ribbons, but a prior commitment has made that impossible. I will need to be patient a little longer. Friday morning I will take my dad to the fair and while the I will check my entries. Friday night you can expect to hear some results.
Until then, it's time to clean up my sewing room, and craft area.

I remember you going to the fair or perhaps it was Joanne's post I saw. The top item looks lovely. I think we were off looking at wildflowers when you posted this. :)

Both Joanne and I had entries in our local fairs. We both did well in the prize department. Her fair gives better prizes. Top prize for me was $8.00, for her it was $35.00. Too bad I can't enter my quilts in her fair.

@JudyEv you are required to live within the district the fair serves. My sister lives an eleven hour drive away....and in a different country...let alone county.

@Morleyhunt Are your fairs restricted to a certain distance from the town? Our agricultural shows used to be only for people residing within x miles but now mostly they are open although perhaps with a few classes restricted to local people.

Good luck with your entries! I have yet to be brave enough to enter anything in to our state fair.
Our fair just ended. They have a category now that is creative use of selvage. I PLAN to make a toothbrush rug with selvages to enter next year.

@Morleyhunt woo hoo! and way to go!
I doubt my abilities too much, which is a problem that I need to overcome.

@marsha32 I have been practicing. I am also very unsure of my abilities, but finally decided, what have I got to lose.. What is the worst thing that could happen.

Thank you. Last year was my first year entering anything in the fair. I won quite a few ribbons.

I managed to put it out of my mind, but now I'm keeping myself busy to stay distracted.

I tend to keep busy or I fall asleep. This week I've had some serious motivation to keep sewing.
