Neighbors nice and kind

Not only mine...but here are few instances I will share 1. There is a widower in adjacent building. He may be in late 80's. Ladies in the building take turns to send something to him during the week. They personally go and give it and inquire if he is alright. 2. My former neighbors were too good. They'd kind of adopted me. They are childless couple. 3. One of my former neighbors sent curries over when I was down with viral. God bless her soul. 4. My present neighbor is a youngster with two kiddos. She is also angelic with me, lets her kiddos play with me - which in these parts of the world is not thought of as right because I am unmarried and do not have kids. Folks here are superstitious. 5. My present neighbor has pushed her pots and other things such as frames upstairs, which she has no use of. She has no issues with me using them for my kitchen gardening. Anything for you aunty...hmm..feel loved. 6. The building secretary asked me to draw up a budget of what I need, and said he would spare it from common pool with due sanctions from rest of the building. Overwhelmed. Don't you just love being loved? Here is wishing that all of you live in "where every neighbor is a friend" world.

Some of us are so accustomed to doing that...the other day there was an elderly lady walking on road, she'd lost her way, and I was on my way to the bank. She was not getting any autorickshaws which we use for commuting here and she would not have managed anyway. I turned the vehicle, dropped her at her building..she cupped my cheek and chin with her hand and then kissed it and said you came just like my child..gosh tears welled up in my eyes...that is hardly anything to do...does not cost much ...can't we do that little for OUR folks?

Gosh. And here me being single, apartment society is coming up with new rule that no bachelors allowed in their apartment. And my house owner on the other hand wants me to stay :p

That is so weird! There is no society agreement at the time of sale. No byelaws. Nothing can apply retrospectively. Yeah, bachelors here also pay more rent. Almost on par with commercial establishments.

Yeah...I feel so blessed ever since the building secretary communicated that to me. I, along with the watchman spent a few hours on a few days a fortnight ago on terrace to spruce up what once used to be my kitchen garden and well, they noticed! And they want to help me out..lol

That sense of community is worth it's weight in any rare mineral or metal you care to name.

I was extremely surprised with the offer from the building's secretary. So they all are waiting for me to restart my kitchen garden which I had done in small scale about two to three years ago. Once the rains stop, we are getting down to business. I have already ordered for seeds and pots are ready already with mud and manure. :) Terrace..my world..lol.

You are truly blessed with wonderful neighbours. It used to be like that here many years ago. The community looked after each other. Sadly these days it is everyone for themselves. Although there are random acts of kindness most people are quite selfish these days!

Yes, we are so habituated to selfishness that we do not expect much...that is why it was so surprising when the building secretary suggested let it be kind of community effort rather than mine alone.

Yes, that is a great social circle...I am not constantly in their home, nor they in mine...but a mutual respect and availability if we need some help is always there.
