Poor thing probably just wants you to listen to em, I think they're smarter than we are, they actually understand us because their 6th sense or 7th sense is reading body language, a skill lost to most people.

Ahh, you have one of those @HazySue I love em ... not all dogs are sensitive to the same things but those that are sensitive to our emotions are truly the best ones. Ally knows when I need help with something but because I am inept at training she doesn't know how. She has learned what many different things are though, when I tell her I need to go sh*t she goes to the bathroom, if I mention pee she runs to the front door. She's smart but I need to learn how to teach her.

@rebelann we can carry on quite a conversation. He is quite a dog, he doesn't know he is a dog, but I do know he can read emotions. When you don't feel well or are sad he is right there giving you loving.

I know how you feel @crazyhorseladycx I'm savin up for a straight up 50mm lens, the one I got is that 18mm to 200mm which I really don't like that much but I do get some great stills of the kritters.

sounds like ya have some prime opportunity to get videos of funny stuff .... course that wood mean havin the camera ready when ya get home

@rebelann yes ma'am, truly could. i've tried to take videos with this camera 'n 've been greatly disappointed with the quality. amazin' to me how's i can be standin' 5 feet from somethin', yet the video makes 't look like i'm 'bout 50 feet 'way :( i took one 'f a hummer dinin' 'pon a red texas sage a few weeks back that turned out jest plum awful.

You must really miss them. Ally sticks close to me these days, she's afraid I'll leave again which I will have to of course but I will come home again and that's when she's the most vocal.

It was @Happy2BeMe but in 2010 at age 15 I had to put Sophie down because of heart problems ..... boy did we grieve.

@rebelann I don't think you would. I have learned that cats are sensitive to different kinds of sounds and they should be treated like a baby. So I always have soft voice when talking to them and they like that.

That's a good word for it but to me it sounds more like a yeeeoooowwwll as if she's trying to howl. I wish I could get her to do that on que but she refuses.

Nah, not me, I meow back when any of the kitties meows at me and I try to howl or sing back when Ally "talks" to me, I figure they already compromised their species for my benefit it's the least I can do.
