Apple Crisp in Oven

I'm finally getting it made. I found a good recipe by Martha Stewart. It says prep time is 20 minutes and cook time 55-65 minutes at 375 Degrees F. I followed the recipe exactly. I think next time I'm going to ignore one step - putting the crumble in the freezer while I prepare the apples. In fact I think I'm going to do the apples first instead of last. It took longer than 20 minutes to peel and cut 3 pounds of apples. Doing the first steps on making the crumble took no time at all. Instead of putting the apple crisp in the oven when I had the apples ready, I ended up waiting for the crumble to thaw - yeah, my freezer is that cold. So another 20 minutes to thaw and now my apple crisp is in the oven for the next hour. I'm still getting things organized, but it's coming along great. I did get laundry done this morning, which I didn't know if that was going to happen until my daughter called just before she went to work to let me know she was leaving the door open for me. I left her a message last night. I'm really liking the way the living room is turning out. I'm still placing knickknacks where I think they will look best. I finally got my clock hung in the kitchen. I've been debating on where to put that since I bought it. I'm doing the office tomorrow. I'll have more time since I won't be going anywhere. So now I just wait for the apple crisp to come out of the oven and also figure out what else I'm going to eat for supper. I really need to eat. So that's my day along with a movie. How was your day? Thanks for reading.

I need to eat. I only had one meal when I got home from my daughter's and that was 11 AM and it's after 9 PM so I need to eat. I just looked at the apple crisp and all I can say is I followed the recipe. I hope it turns out the way she showed on her video.

Apple crisp sounds nice. I have apples from my mum's tree, so I may copy you. Glad the dettling in is going well. God Blessx Yesterday was nice for me at my parents, but then I spent about an hour and a half sitting in a traffic jam on the long journey back. I was so tired I had tea out and more or less tumbled into bed early..only it is the sofa as I have not washed the sheets on the bed after my friend's stay yet.

Apple crisp is usually so easy to make. It's preparing the apples that is a killer! My day has been the same as it has been for over 5 weeks.

I am always surprised how long it takes to peel apples or any other fruit for that matter.
