Training my Boyfriend to learn the names of my Family Members!

United States
October 2, 2016 12:44am CST
We are potentially planning our Engagement party for this upcoming December 2016, or February 2017. He has met some of my family members but not all -so- to save the awkwardness, I am training him ahead of time. Each day, I teach him a family and so far he's doing well! Are you good with names? I am horrible at remembering and faces to names. It would be better to learn compared to on the day of - then getting confused who's who!

This is a very good idea. He might be a bit nervous at the time which will make remembering names even more difficult so it would be good if he had a good idea of them beforehand.

Yes, I figured if I was in his position it would be very nerve wrecking to meet a lot of people and they will tell him his name. Then he will be trying to remember everyones name on the day of and already nervous as is.

@infatuatedbby And possibly with FB and mobile phones, etc, he will know what some of the people look like. That will make it easier too.

Is he teaching you the names of his family? I'm bad about names too unless I work at it like you are helping him. You must have a big family!

@infatuatedbby - Did you ever watch The King of Queens? The episode where Doug faked a heart attack because he couldn't remember Carrie's bosses name was hilarious.
