Last night I slept past midnight already for I was myLotting here. Today I wake up very early at 3:00 AM for my youngest daughter has a marching band practice at 4:00 AM.
The school principal asked permission from us parents to allow our children to attend the scheduled practice for the coming marching band competition. Their school is aiming to win again just like last year.
The photo was taken last year when they win the championship in the marching band competition. My daughter is the one in the first row.

Why so early, are they keeping some routines secret so the competitors won't see it?

Yes, that's the main reason. So that no one would see their steps and style.

The competition is scheduled the next day and they have to practice in the venue for the competition and they are hiding their steps and style so that no one will copy.

Is your daughter the first girl pictured here?
Waking up early after sleeping late is very hard to do. Sometimes, I can do that, other times I just say 'Nah, I'll sleep some more!'

They did that so that the other schools could not see when they practice in the venue for the competition. They might copy their steps and style. If they practice after school, they believe they are short of time because the competition is scheduled the next day.

I remember when I was an MP ROTC cadet the " alay lakad, piso mula sa puso" ( walk for a cause, 1 peso from the heart) thing, formation at the grounds of Espana campus, then jogging thru the underpass of Quiapo up to Luneta at about that time, crazy thing was you were still the one to give them the peso which was big for that time

Yes, i remembered this picture before . I even said your daughter is so pretty .
So, they are again practicing at 4:00 a.m. . Wow , what a sacrifice for these pretty girls . That's why my niece refused to be a twirler . She doesn't want the constant practice .

Wow! Don't they have beautiful costumes? When is the competition being held. Why is the practice held so early? Is it too hot later? Now I've read the comments and I understand.
