A Favorite Halloween Candy

I love smarties. I always loved to get them as a child. No muss, no fuss. lots of candy in each serving. They even have different flavors and colors. What is not to like? I love how they crumble and the tang. It's a great candy.
I bought a bag for Halloween and it's all gone. It's silly to buy for Halloween as there have never been a Trick or Treater here. My street only has three houses. Now I said that to someone online and then last night I had a dream that some children came in costume and rang the bell (which I don't have) and I didn't have any more Smarties. It was more like a nightmare because I was desperate to find something for their treat bags.
In reality, I always bought chocolate treats when living in our other house where the children came in droves. Children love the little chocolate candies like Snickers, M&M's etc. I added Smarties to the bowl but they were always the ones left and that meant they were mine!
What is your favorite Halloween candy?

What a nightmare! I would have left you the smarties and taken Almond Joy, Reese's Peanut Butter Cups, Hershy Bars, Snickers, M&M's, and Kit Kat. I have bags of that in my house knowing darn well that we won't have any Trick or Treaters! Lol!

Oh, I know, it's bad! I may pick up a bag or two of candy after Halloween but I do like Smarties any time of the year.

@Jeanniemaries that's true, sadly there's none 'round here who come. e'en momma's house'n town don't e'en get more'n 10 young'uns - last year i believe she'd 8 all eve?
i really don't blame folks i reckon fer takin' their young'uns to the mall (yepperz, we've a wee one!) 'r to one 'f the churches. too many nutbirds out there who could do much harm. aint 's simple 's e'en when i t'was raisin' mine - checkin' all the packagin' fer any tiny holes/tears...
yepperz! i wish they still lived close 'nough to do such. gets mighty lonely here 'n the spookin' night.

With special trick or treaters you can do any kind of treats, not just those sealed and double sealed. I used to love to get popcorn balls or pomegranates when I was a child and went out in our neighborhood. That's nice of your daughter to bring the grands over!

Last year, our neighbors decorated their front lawn quite cleverly. I though we'd be overrun with munchkins so I bought all sorts of candy. We had about half a dozen parties ringing our doorbell and candy until New Year's Day when I threw it out.

I was never a fan of Smarties and since Smarties aren't fully sealed, those would be the candy I toss out.
My favorite candy is Kit Kat

I never thought about it not being fully sealed. I guess because the main package is sealed. I remember they used to sell similar candy in a bracelet form from bins without any packaging.

We don't have trick or treaters here either but maybe I should get some candy in just in case our luck changes! :) What do you think?

I like smarties also. For Halloween, you have got to love traditional candy corn.
