I Am So Sorry

I am so sorry that I haven't been on myLot a lot lately. First, I had company and now I am not only exhausted but my feet have been hurting really bad. I could barely walk at all and couldn't stand for anything to touch my feet.
I have neuropathy in my feet. Neuropathy has to do with the nerves in my feet, causing weakness, numbness and pain. Sometimes the pain can be unbearable. I have been in bed since our company left. I do have a doctor's appointment tomorrow and a rheumatology appointment on the 10th.
Yesterday I tried something that I hoped would work and either it did or what happened was a coincidence. I have prednisone that I take for RA if I have a flare coming on. I tried taking two 5 milligram tablets yesterday...one in the early morning and the second one around 10:30am. And, I was surprised that it actually worked. Normally my pain level can be anywhere from an 8 to a 10 on a scale of 1-10. Yesterday my pain level was around a 4-5 which I can handle and isn't too bad.
I don't particularly like taking prednisone but I will happily put up with the side effects versus the awful pain. So, I am back again at least for today. If I come online tomorrow it will be later in the day since I have the doctor's appointment. I hope everyone has a great day today!

@crazyhorseladycx Isn't it the worst? When my feet hurt the worst, I have told my brother that I wish they would just cut off my feet. Of course I don't really mean it but that's how I feel at the time.

Oh that is rough, I hope that you get the pain to subside or maybe the doctor can help.
I'm getting ready to go to the cancer clinic for a recheck scope and then late this afternoon I have to see my family doctor for something that I've been battling for a couple of months now-I don't like going to see him!

The pain is just awful. I feel like I am walking on marbles most of the time. Other times, my feet feel like I have walked on fire, they are so sensitive. I can barely walk when my feet start hurting like that and some of my toes feel partly numb. It's no fun at all.

What did the doctors say? did they give you some medication? I hope you feel better the next day. Take care of yourself.

We all tend to be not around the site all the time, so you're forgiven.

. I've been here a little in the mornings and a little before midnight to make sure I don't miss the notifications that will be falling off from the week before.
Good luck on your feet. Is the neuropathy from the RA? My husband has a bit of that from being diabetic. My feet bother me, but I think it's more my bones than the nerves or anything else. Currenlty my knee is a problem. I'll be getting a replacement the end of February and be off work for three months. I'm trying to exercise the muscles in my thighs and legs on both legs to get a jump-start for the pt I'll be having later and to minimize the need for me to get the same surgery on the other knee later.

They really don't know right now what is causing the neuropathy. I've already been checked for diabetes and I'm clear on that right now. I'm sorry to hear that you will have to have a knee replacement. That is a major operation and does take a lot of recovery time.

It is really hard if you have an aching feet; all activities could be affected. Hope you'll be fine soon.

. I have an appointment with a podiatrist in November so I am hoping something can be done then.
