In a previous post I mentioned that hubby had collapsed in a parking lot, something that happened to him about 7 years ago. I blasted him for not going to the hospital. Then I asked if anyone had my cell phone number since we cancelled our landline. He said no, but now tells me at the time of cancelling the landline he did give work my number as emergency contact.
So his boss' boss called on my phone today to speak to my husband. He wants to know when hubby is going to see the doctor. He may not allow him to work until he sees a doctor. How did his boss find out about what happened? The two guys he had gone golfing with the day he collapsed are co-workers.
I couldn't get an appointment with our doctor until the 17th based on his work schedule. I told him I could get him in sooner when he is scheduled to be on shift, especially if they don't let him work until he sees a doctor. They do have a work doctor who comes in once a week so he assured his boss that he would see the doctor there tomorrow. In the meantime, he may not be able to go in for his work shift tonight (gggrrr... I love my nights alone).
I had suggested he see the work doctor. I got on his case about not going to the hospital. I told him something could happen at work where he was up high on something and collapsed. He blew me off. But now that his co-workers have been talking about what happened the big boss found out and now he is not going to be able to work.
If I've said it once, I've said it a thousand times, I AM ALWAYS RIGHT. Wives, generally, are always right. I've had this discussion with others (some of whom are men) who pretty much agree. Because... I am not only a wife, I'm a woman and a mother. We are care givers.
This is one of those times where I'm not only worried, I'm pissed off at him for not taking proper care of himself and doing the right thing. You are not friggin' Superman anymore than I am not Superwoman.

Sounds a lot like my husband. I don't know if they will ever learn...

Well, he was permitted to work tonight. Not sure whether it was because they couldn't find someone to work in his place or whether the boss opted to let him work... maybe restricted his duties. And the person he will be seeing at work is not a doctor but a nurse.

Now that is one of the reasons why I believe women are #1 wonder of the world. They are always right even if they are wrong.
