Home Again! What A Beautiful Day!

This morning I made my much anticipated getaway. The bus arrived on time, I put my shoes on and grabbed my keys....I was ready to go. A new geocache had been published last night. I had decided to grab (find) it on my way to drop off papers at the doctors office. I had not expected to earn a FTF (first to find), as most have been found within an hour of being published. Bonus. I find six geocaches on my way to the doctors office, I'm a happy camper. Then groceries, again, success, almost everything on my list. Six more geocaches are found before I head home. As I'm almost home, my daughter texts me, New Cache published....wanna go. Sure, put the groceries away, double time, and a, ready to go just as she pulls in the driveway. No FTF for us. Someone beat us by minutes (he sent us a message letting us know that he saw us arriving, just as he was pulling out onto the road). We logged the find anyway and both of us were happy with our find. Now, to get back to the mundane. Vacuum the house, wash the dishes, plan the evening meal. Hey it's a gorgeous day outside. Forget it, I'm going back outside. Everything else will keep.

I had absolutely no idea what you were talking about. I was very puzzled I looked it up and I am still a bit dismayed about it. I don't know if we have it here. Is this a little like that pokemon thing?

Geocaching has been around for 16 years. There are geocaches to be found on every continent, even on the space station. Short description. Geocaching: using billion dollar satellites to find Tupperware in the woods. I'll do a post on geocaching later tonight.

Geocaching is a game where we use our GPS enabled cellphone or a handheld GPS to find a "treasure" (usually a Tupperware container with a log book and some tradeable swag). I have been geocaching for almost two years (in my spare time) and have found over 1000 all over the USA and Canada.

@Morleyhunt that sounds like a lot of fun but someof us are very]low budget so]we do not have enabled smart cellphone or gps to run around hunting a that stuff so I will leave that to those who are able to do that lol

@Morleyhunt that's a cool game. It's like Pokemon Go. But I never play Pokemon Go.

Vacuum the house, wash the dishes, plan the evening meal, yes, all this is so mundane! But unfortunately has to be done!

I did most of my cleaning yesterday, I was going to go get groceries today, but we have many here that have been running fro the storms, so I do not know how busy the stores will be and how much extra traffic there is. I may just decide to use what I have n the house.

You certainly make geocaching sound like fun. Enjoy the outside while the weather is still nice. We'll be stuck indoors soon enough when the weather gets cold

That sounds like an exciting day. I was driving home today, with the a/c on, and noticed some people walking with flip flops and shorts and whatnot on, and I thought to myself, in a matter of weeks, we won't be able to dress like this, or use the a/c and we'll be wearing coats and jackets. Its so nice to have this weather for our long weekend, and I'm planning on enjoying every minute of it!
