Thanks PayPal for an Immediate Action

Few weeks ago, I purchased an Arm BP Monitor on eBay. After paying the said item, the seller emailed me that the item had been shipped in my address. Unfortunately, eBay also sent an email informing me that the item had been cancelled by the seller and the seller is no longer an eBay member.
I was really alarmed, that I emailed PayPal about it and asked them to help me to recover my payment. PayPal responded immediately that they would investigate the matter.
To make the story short, yesterday, PayPal emailed me that they recovered my payment and they credited back the exact amount of $8.99 CAD in my PayPal account. Thanks to PayPal for an immediate action in my favor.
Any thoughts?

Yes Pp is very reliable, I also had a similar case years ago and all I did was open a dispute.

Actually, I emailed PayPal last September 25, and they credited my payment yesterday, October 6, 2016. Just for 11 days they recovered my payment and that's awesome.

Yes, I always hope it won't happen again. Good thing eBay is a legit online store and both eBay and PayPal helped me in recovering such amount.

Just like that, huh? Good thing they were able to get it back. the transaction between paypal and what ever bank that is not immediate. what a moron, probably doesn't realize that. Be careful with online transaction, so far i didn't experience that. I always check the comments from previous buyers before making my own purchase.

It's PayPal to PayPal accounts. No bank involved here not until the seller's PayPal account has insufficient of funds. Yes, you're right, seller's good rating really matters. But I checked the seller's rating, and it's 100% excellent but I noticed that she/he sold only few items on eBay.

I used to be OK with them until I lost more than 5K Malaysian Ringgit because of them, never got it recovered but anyways that's another story. They are always good until you have problems. When rubber hits the road....huhuhu....Anyways good for you as you got your money back but just be weary though, because at this point of time PayPal is more in favor of buyers compared to sellers, thanks to all these scammers. Genuine sellers like us has suffered greatly. I used to be a power seller many years back but now I no longer use eBay, especially since PayPal has been bought over by eBay there's no more accountability, well...as if they had any to begin with. If nkt mistaken they are not regularized by many of the local banks in different parts of the world and if there was any dispute, one can have hardly an chance to go up against them although I did remember last time the incident that occured I was informed.by someone there is an international body tat can hold them accoubtae but that was too tedious a job for me to follow u. The only way was to recover what was lost, apparently that was the more positive thing to do. Sk there you go, my 2 cents worth
