I´ll take my laptop with me.

Today I´m going to the dentist and then I´ll go from there to my daughter´s home to babysit for her. She asked me to go at 5 PM, but I will not return home and then go out again to her house. So I will eat a light brunch before the dentist and then go to my daughter´s with the laptop. I can not only mylot, but there´s the Gutenberg foundation and I can read a bit. My grandchildren, unfortunatly, behave only too well. They are mostly with tablets and nintendos in their hands. When was the lovely time when children fought for some legos or for a ball? I´m not so sure that technology is helping us so much.

I hope you have a good day. =) My children are only allowed to have game time on their tablets for an hour per day-and they don't have any video game systems at all. Other than that they can read, color, play outside, or play with toys.

My daughter works all day and she can only check on that when she is home.

Perhaps you could persuade them to play a board game with you. They might even enjoy it. :)

It is not easy even for me as Vicente is 13 and Sofía is 6. There´s too much difference in age.

@marguicha Maybe one at a time then? Of course, there isn't much point unless they want to.

I am afraid that all those gadgets will make them unsocial.

It´s a pity. When my daughters were small, it was TV. But I did not let them watch TV all the time.

They tend to just sit for hours playing games on the computer.

I am sad for them. I feel they are missing a lot.

@teenspirit I agree with you. Even when they are on the bus home, the kids look like zombies, stuck to their cellphones.
