Lioness dreams / myLot

I wonder what this lioness is dreaming about? Maybe being out of the zoo? Or what kind of meat she's going to have to eat? Perhaps she's dreaming about that handsome lion not far way? I drew her as part of Inktober, day 9 to be specific. I have to have something nice looking up on my blog, because tomorrow I'll be the featured author in Blackwood's Magazine, an online writing journal. So I want any visitors to have a good picture to look at. What do you think the lioness might be dreaming about?

That's nice that you will be the featured writer. It's hard to say what the lioness is dreaming off. She isn't giving much away in her expression.

Hm... it's Nile reeds in Northern Africa, or African savannah farther south - but never the twain did meet. Egypt is an interesting country. It's floodplain surrounded by red, sandy, rocky desert. Quite striking, actually. That's why the ancients called it the Red Land (the desert) and the Black Land (the fertile strips around the nile).

@sallypup Sure, she just wouldn't be an Egyptian lioness. Still an evocative image.
