And They Are Still Smoking Them

Fun fact from a question on Jeopardy this evening. It has been 45 years since tobacco manufacturers were able to advertise cigarettes on television. It has not been done since January 1971. People are still smoking the nasty things though and inflicting second hand smoke on animals and other humans. What are you thoughts on this?

@celticeagle very true though with the public smoking ban here in the UK that isn't an issue any more

@arthurchappell .....We have that here as well. THe thing that really gets me is that at some of these places like restaurants and stores.......the employers set out by the front doors to smoke on their breaks. So, I have to walk through their smoke to get into the place. I don't go much anymore but it used to really irritate me.

It has definitely gone down since I was in school... everyone smoke! Thanks goodness, a lot of us stopped!
