Tonight's dinner is going to be fried chicken and macaroni salad. I made the macaroni salad this morning and am going to fry the chicken after I finish writing this post. I typically fry my chicken in an iron skillet because that's the best way to do it. The chicken comes out crispy and golden. As for the macaroni salad I throw in what ever I have that I think will make it tasty. It is one of our favorite dinners. Unfortunately, because I no longer eat fried foods as much as I used to, I don't get it very often. So, what's for dinner in your home tonight? Oh yes, the photo is one I took months ago, the last time we had fried chicken and macaroni salad.

I believe it would fill you up - it fills my husband up quite nicely. You could always add bread.

I never make fried chicken now, I used to once in a while, but find it too difficult to digest.

@cacay1 Even if it takes little time to chew the food, I have a very slow digestive system.

I've tried making fried chicken twice (from Alton Brown's recipe) and it was a failure both times.
