Now I can tell you my secret

As some of you may know we own two pieces of property which we have had on the market for years. I can now tell you what's transpired this week. Our biggest property, 20 beautiful acres, is where we planned to build but then thought better of starting from scratch at our ages. So we listed if for sale 3 1/2 years ago. In that time we tried twice to sell it on our own and we've used two different agencies. Monday our realtor told me three people looked at it recently and he gave me their 'excuses' for not buying it. Then he said - Oh, it's being shown today. Tuesday he told me they looked at it again and loved it and had six more properties to look at but their agent thought they really wanted ours. Wednesday evening we got an offer, we countered and they accepted. Our agent got the signed offer back yesterday. I didn't want to talk about it until everything was signed. I didn't want to jinx anything. The closing will be in a month. I know - anything can still go wrong so I don't want to be too happy if that makes sense LOL. It will be so nice to put money back into the bank for a change. Photo is mine - just a small part of the 20 acres.

We bought this 5 years ago wow, time flies. I will miss it, I cry when we go there...Since it's a huge place we let her run free like crazy - she'll miss it too.

Crying - yes...I love it - we searched for years to find the perfect land. Unfortunately things didn't work out - I just hope the buyers love it half as much as we did/do.

Thank you. They are financing a big portion of it, so that could be the only pitfall. The bank will be happy also.

@AbbyGreenhill Ah I see! Must be a lot of water to keep it green too or sprinklers?
• United States
16 Oct 16
@infatuatedbby That photo is from a few years ago - green from rain - the water at the property is not on - no one uses sprinklers on 20 acres, that would cost a fortune.

thanks, that place is fertilized since the farmer down the road bails it - he gets the benefits and we don't do any work.

I think the only way they can back out is if financing falls thru.
