Because it is perfectly good candy, guaranteed free of fishhooks, razor blades, pins and/or needles, and ground glass.
And I don't need it.
But if the little (expletive deleted) don't come and get it, I will eat it.
I guess I could always write "Free Candy" on the side of the van and start driving around

@JolietJake Then you're all set!True but funny story - my car was being serviced that time and I have to pick up my nephew from the elementary school. I have to use an aunt's old faithful white van without windows. Only until I was parked outside the school did I realize she's got a couple of duct tapes and a kitchen knife at the back of the van! Turns out she uses the van whenever they go fishing or camping.
