Dinner Party

We must have the best friends in the entire world! My husband isn't well enough to go out to dinner with our friends since his neck surgery over 9 weeks ago. So they brought dinner to us last night. It wasn't a surprise. It was just a nice way to get together with three couples. They brought homemade appetizers, three different main dishes, vegetables, salads, a variety of desserts, and even wine. All I had to do was light the candles and dim the chandelier. They even cleaned up! They also vacuumed!!!! They left my kitchen spotless and left enough leftovers for dinner tonight. No one cared that I had to get my hubby his appetizers, serve him, or cut his meat. We are friends who all got together for a lovely dinner party. I would do the same for them. ***Hope my photo isn't lopsided!

You have such thoughtful friends! How nice of them to bring dinner AND do all the clean up ! I'm sure you all had a great time with great company . . . a wonderful break from routine stuff! Hope your hubby is doing better each and every day!

Your photo is fine! Lovely kitchen again you have :) Your friends are amazing! They didn't want to go out without you two so the parties are your place! And the host didn't have the clean up or vacuum - so sweet :) I'm sure you all had s great time!! Those friends are definitely keepers

First of all, if that is your kitchen, I am so in love!!! My ideal kitchen is a mix of dark countertop with white cabinets and pantry and stainless appliances. If you have a large and deep kitchen sink then you are living my dream :). We have a good-sized kitchen but of course it can still be improved upon. On to your post, isn't it nice to have such considerate friends? I am sure that you will also do the same for them should the situation is reversed. Glad you guys had a good time!

@DianneN I agree! Get the kitchen or get a new house. My boyfriend and I are gearing towards getting a new house but we will wait for a more "stable" situation as well as real estate market change. Right now, in our town it is so ridiculously priced.

Well thank you very much! We do have a deep sink, too, and a desk. We turned our kitchen into my dream kitchen several years ago. It was either that or buy an entire new house! Lol! I hope you get one, too. And yes, good friends are true friends.

Yes, that is very very kind and shows how much they care for you both. I'm sure that you both enjoyed visiting together, its got to be hard to be going thru this, but hopefully he'll recover soon.
