My Computer is Running Slow, and Rain is Headed our Way

My computer is running slow on all sites currently so I probably should reboot it since I leave it on each day. I have a list of things I'd like to accomplish sometime today and with rain imminent I should probably head out to do a lot of it now. My tires have been sounding a bit funny, so I'm going to Discount Tire to have them checked for free. It could just be all the leaves on the roads that my tires are slipping a bit on them, but I want to be sure.
I need to get gas. I should take three end tables to Salvation Army for their resale shop. I got nicer ones from my mom when we moved her to assisted living and I don't need five end tables in my living room.
I need to pick out our insurance for next year, and hope to do more bookkeeping. If I get busy with my list it should leave me plenty of time to spend here and the image site too.
See you all around later on today.
My images is a kaleidoscope made from the image I used a while ago that had three pennies on my green checkbook.

I've never had that experience @MarshaMusselman we don't have enough trees around here to form a layer on the roads.

Two of them are three years old and the other two are three years old, so I'm sure I'm fine there other than if I ever pick up a nail or something. I took a moment to look them over and decided not to check them out as they look fine. I think it's the leaves all over the roads that are causing my tires to slip a bit.

@rebelann We rake the leaves into the roads other than the busiest streets, those get raked onto the out lawns. Then there are trees planted by the city, mostly, on the out lawns and those leaves drop right into the street as well as onto the grass. So, in certain areas, the streets almost get totally covered in leaves. Each year I need to watch specific intersections to make sure I don't slide in the leaves.
I've been thinking of taking a picture of some area so you'd see what I mean. Oh, just realized and remembered that you said there aren't that many trees around your area. I think someone else couldn't picture leaves in the roads either, but for different reason.

@MarshaMusselman I only reboot when I have trouble, but this time I think it may be the actual internet not my computer.

@jaboUK Rebooting it this morning helped mine out a lot, but here and there it still takes longer than it should to write in a comment. Right now mine is working fine, but a minute ago when replying to another person I had to do it in two steps as it just sat there.

Do you reboot yours every day? That seemed to do the trick for me, and I also needed to instal a newer version of the flash player which is partly why chrome crashes. Now my words are keeping up with me when I type them, whereas before I wondered if they'd ever show up.

Thanks, Patsie. I hope to get a good night's sleep and I intend to head there shortly. I'm usually up until one or two am, but I've been starting an hour earlier lately so I need to get to bed earlier. It's been nice weather this week and may get up to seventy tomorrow, then it will drop thirty some degrees by Saturday. I hope you sleep well also.

Not all of it, but most got done. Not the bookkeeping at all this time. It's still looking at me. I'm headed to the doctor for some answers, and maybe when I return I'll get at those, or maybe I'll go outside and do some planting and weeding.

I think the leaves are sticking to my tires and then causing different responses. We rake leaves into the road near the curb, so there are many leaves to drive through each day. I think around here it's not that abnormal to slip on leaves. I'm at least being more careful with my driving.

@MarshaMusselman Anyway it's a wise decision to have them checked.

Thanks. I'm loving playing with the images in this way. I've made so many that I can't share them all here unless I do in comments, I suppose.

Cool kaleidoscope, you hare a busy woman. The leaves are everywhere but they don't stay on our roads, too much traffic, I think. I love going to the second hand store, i looke for beads for my art. My daughter and I did that a few weeks ago and I got a huge bag of pretty beads and she found a beautiful scarf. I often take excess to the charity shop. I'm not good around clutter.
