Good morning,I was thinking when I was a young person and wanted to run away and join the circus.I always thought that the circus was exciting.
Seeing the animals, freaks, etc. But never did. This was back in the thirties.
Not only I but some of my playmate wanted to be able to join the circus.
We used to have a lot of carnivals in our days. This also was fun and then a small circus. Not Ringling Bros. But some other one.
Did you ever want to run away and join the circus

Running away from my home in the former Canal Zone in Panama to jojn the circus never crossed my mind. Writing Wordgirl fan fictions is like working in a circus.

@amadeo It is since my view of doing Wordgirl fan fictions is that is kind of a circus of at least four female heroes in my stories working together with some kind of friction between them.

I just wanted to run away, but I would get lost, so I just went back home. lol I think it is pretty natural to want to do these things when you are younger.

They were always a lot of fun. We lived in a small country town and each town put on their spin-off carnival. I haven't been to one in ages maybe just maybe I'll go back in a year or two.

Yes, as kids we thought it would be great to join a circus. And the girls all wanted to be air hostesses or film stars.

My ex-bf's dad actually *did* run away and join the circus as a young man. It was during the Depression, and was a way for him to earn money to support his siblings. He did rope and whip tricks, and knife throwing.
