I felt it was important to post about the passing of Janet Reno from Parkinson's Disease. She was the first female Attorney General in the United States. She was nominated by Bill Clinton and from 1993 to 2001 had that position.
During her time there was a 51 day Waco Standoff, which started before she officially started as Attorney General, but she gave the order that resulted in 76 deaths. She said later she was sorry, but I feel bad for all the families that loved ones were killed.
I realize that she felt the decision had to be made right away. Sometimes that does happen, but in this case I disagreed with her. Its what I have remembered her for all these years. I'm sure others remember her in a positive light.

I think your right, as it was a really hard time in our country. I do feel bad for her, as her brother passed from a terrible disease: Alzheimer's Disease. Sadly, several people I know have passed from this disease and couldn't even remember who I was at the end. I think losing my memory would cause me to be a very different person. It would be hard to be a caregiver.

@Fishmomma Alzheimer's Disease is a silent thief, it stoles our memories and let us alone.

I truly try to see good in people and this woman as Attorney General wasn't a positive in my life. She worked harder at making a difference in her brothers life after her time in office. Thanks for posting.

May she rest in peace. It is really sad when someone is gone forever.
