~You Look Really Pale!~

I have been feeling a little off today since I woke up. I am feeling weak, drained, I have a headache and I'm dizzy at times. Aunt Mary walked by and said are you okay, you look really pale? I told her I think I am dehydrated. This happens a bit every time I'm pregnant. I know the feelings I get from it now. My husband is going to bring me some gatorade in a little while. I definitely don't want to go to the hospital to get an IV! Those hurt so bad and I am terrified of needles & the pain they bring. The simplest of tasks I usually do feels like a huge burden today...Not sure how much I will get done today. =( I just feel like I need to do nothing at all today except sit or lay down. Every time I get up I feel much worse. Gosh I hate this!

Hope you feel better soon, I've read of how pregnancy affects people differently, but I've no youngsters of my own so missed all that

Could also be your blood sugar is too low or blood pressure too low. Best, doing nothing now. But if it persists, please go to the ER.

@marlina My blood pressure is always perfect. The nurses are always telling me their jealous because I have better blood pressure than they have! I'm very blessed with that. If it gets any worse or doesn't get better I will get checked even if I don't want to.

Huge hugs, hon. Take it easy and don't feel bad about not getting anything done. If you keep feeling like this, it would be best to go in and be evaluated just in case there's more going on than simple dehydration. You can ask the hospital to place the IV in a different location. I've found that it's a lot more comfortable/less painful to have it in one of my hands. With my last C-section, the nurse placed it in a vein in the side of my wrist. It was kind of awesome because I could push myself up in the bed without having to worry about the needle.

@yukimori Thank you. I am going to try to relax as much as I can in between taking care of the kids. He brought the gatorade, I'm hoping it will help soon. Yeah my hand seems to be less painful than my arm too. I hate it in my arm, I can't handle that well.

I am sorry to hear that. Are you pregnant now? I remember when I was pregnant, I felt very sleepy all the time. And one day I met a friend in the street and she also said I looked pale. Perhaps you need to have more sleep. I hope you will feel better soon.

@LovingMyBabies I can understand it. It is not easy to take care of so many children when you are pregnant. You really need to have a good rest. It is just quite common to feel sleepy and tired at this moment.

@youless Yes I am pregnant now. I haven't felt bad this pregnancy until today. I know I need more sleep but with 4 kids sleep rarely comes.

I have been feeling that same way for the past two days! Except that I can't blame my condition on being pregnant! haha I don't know why I've been feeling so dehydrated lately. I wonder if it is because of the dryer air we have now from the cold front that came through this past weekend?

@DianneN Still not feeling quite right when I get up. If I am laying down or sitting I feel a little better. Thank God my kids are independent for the most part except for Julian. And the house can wait. Lol. Thank you.

Coconut water is good for hydration too and does not have stuff in it that gatorade does.

How about drinking water if you are dehydrated. Maybe eating some fruit would be a better plan than a chemical loaded drink.

@Morleyhunt I don't drink water. I don't like having no flavor.
