So,in an earlier post I wrote about how I got some kind of bug bite on my eye. Now, how in the world are you going to get a bug bite on your eye to heal? I mean you can't put any medication on your eye to get rid of a bug bite on your eye!! If it were any other place you could put salve on it. I usually put vinegar on bug bites, but can't put vinegar on your eye. So talked to hubby and his mom (who use to be a nurse) and they recommended to put a potato poultice on it!! So, here I am trying to type this post as I have a potato against my eye!! Used a bandanna to hold it up on my eye so at least I don't have to hold it!! I just cut a potato in half and wrapped the bandanna around the potato to hold in place. That got too uncomfortable, so now I just have a slice of potato on it held up with a bandanna!! Hopefully this works, as in the times before medicine was available people use to make potato or onion poultices all the time. ~Peace~ photo is mine of me!!
