Last Monday as I was riding the jeepney going home from work , the music of Abba , Dancing Queen was being played on the radio .
I was smiling , because most of the passengers were singing along with it . And to think that some of them were just college students .
Well, I won’t wonder anymore , because for sure they have heard it being played over the radio , since most FM music would play those nice songs from long ago .
And for sure they have heard it being sang by their parents when they sing along the videoke.
When you are in a public transport and heard a nice song you are so familiar with , do you sing along with it ? Or when you are driving , do you sing along with the music ?
Note : For those who haven’t seen a jeepney , it is like the running yellow vehicle in this picture I took

Nothing wrong with Abba, from a punk rocker. Stay true to you, which is why I have a problem with 95 percent of mainstream music these days. lol Dance and sing away

actually, your picture captured two of our public transportation - the jeepney and the tricycle behind it.
sometimes, when i'm bored due to the traffic, and a slow tagalog song is playing, i would translate it to english in my head.

Yes, because this is a highway going to Legazpi City and our side , going to the 2nd district of ALbay .

That is true . I am amazed that they know the song very much . I guess that's because ABBA songs are always featured on radios when they are playing oldies .
Nice to hear that when in a group , you can also sing with them . I feel that way too .

That is true . That is why most of the jeepneys here have stereos so they can listen to radio while they travel . 
That's how it is here in the province , no traffic . Although , in some junctions in the city proper there would be a slight traffic . This one is going to the neighboring towns .

@SIMPLYD It is amazing they can keep them going since they are come from a long time ago. In my neighbourhood there are all kinds of nationalities. The Philippines seem always cheerful for the most part and strong on family. I'm beginning to think this is more than a generalization or if not a really nice trend. The jeepneys are a great idea.

Mama Mia the movie , or the play ? I saw the movie and i can say it's a beautiful movie .
Really , you cannot sing ? I suppose you can , but is just ashamed to .
Me, i can sing along the videoke , but with only my closest of friends seeing and hearing me.

@SIMPLYD We saw the play before it went to Canada and the USA. We were rocking in the aisles, including the ushers. It was so much fun.
I have a pitch problem and can't sing on key, although I used to sing in a Glee Club and at school functions with other teachers. I even made a cd. Still, I can't sing. My husband always makes fun of me. Lol!

I guess you have a nice voice and is good at memorizing lyrics of the song , so you can sing along during some jeepney ride of yours .
Actually , i can sing a long although softly , but because i didn't memorize the lyrics , i keep the singing along in my mind . But my fingers are tapping along .

I sing and dance along in my seat when a good song comes on. I never ride public transportation but when I am in a good mood and the music is good, I am not afraid to roll down my windows and sing as loud as I can!!

I certainly would do that too when i know how to drive our car . But then , hubby doesn't mind if i sing along a good music while he drives .

Yes . During those times when i was with my college friends , we do sing along with whatever is being played inside the jeepney .
But not when i am riding alone in a jeepney . I can only tap my fingers and sing along in my mind.

Lol, I might sing along alone in my car or with friends or people I know, but not in public. Don't like to sing. Jeepny I didn't know... thanks for sharing

I feel the same way as you .
But then in a jeepney or a public transport that will only be possible if most of the passengers are singing along . At least , my voice cannot be heard well. It will just mingle .
