Sick At Heart

Have you ever been sick at heart? That is what I am feeling. My stomach feels as if there is a acidic rock lodged in it that won't go away. That is what happens to me when I am stressed out. Well, what better time than now when our country is going through such unrest. I know, I said I would try to be positive and patient. Two very important P's for me.
Well, last night(this morning actually) I was watching my favorite news caster, Rachel Maddock, on MSNBC and the things she reported to me was just awful. Here's the short list:
1. Trump seemed to be dumbfounded when he was talking to Obama about the things he will be responsible for when he takes over the presidency. Trump wants his oldest three kids to have full top secret service clearance. He is reported to be planning a sort of round table presidency with his kids running their company and then helping him with his presidency. This has never been done before and sounds rather unorthodox. We'll see how it comes out. Does he think that he can run the country like he has run his company?
2. He has appointed Stephen K. Bannon as his strategist. This man is a businessman, a media executive, was in the Navy and was running Breitbart News before joining Trump's campaign and now his administration. Breitbart has had some very outlandish white supremacist and jewish hate articles over the last few years. Bannon is a known jew hater and , it seems, not a very good husband. While going through a bad divorce he threatened his then wife with hurting his two kids if she testified in a trial about his alleged abuse. The charges were dropped when she didn't show for court. This is the man Trump has chosen as his strategist.
3. Trump has until January 20th to appoint his administrators. About 4,000 people in all. He also needs to meet with such important government factions as the Pentagon and the CIA. They have called him and he hasn't returned their calls. Can you imagine? Maybe this is a business ploy, playing hard to get ahold of or something.
4. Pence, his vice president-elect, plans to continue his governorship until that comes to a close on January 9th. Shouldn't he be helping Trump right now? Pence is in litigation right now in Indiana stemming from his decision to not make public some public records in a case where he is keeping emails away from public view. Shades of Hillary Clinton I say.
This is day seven after the election outcome. What is going to unravel today?
Vice President-elect Mike Pence is embroiled in a legal challenge stemming from his decision to withhold information from a public records request in a case local Democrats say raises the specter of the Indiana governor shielding all of his emails from pub

I know that sick feeling . . . and even though everyone is saying give him a chance and I know that- my gut feeling still keeps tapping on me. I understand giving a person a chance, but from what I am hearing and reading, it doesn't sound like that chances are good .

Exactly! I am really trying to be positive. I guess I shouldn't listen to my dear ole Rachel but I am so curious to know what is going on.

@celticeagle I think we are all curious. We've heard the talk - now let's see if he will walk the walk - but I just don't know about some of these roads he intends to take . . .

@celticeagle Eek! I know there are a lot of articles about this stuff out there - hard not to see them. I don't read all of them, but from what I even read in the headlines - it doesn't sound too promising. These are the things I do not find politically fit for running a country . . . but I guess we'll just have to wait and see what happens.

What I did see that Mr. Mariano Rajoy congratulated him and is willing to hold talks with him about I don´t know what. Must be important though. Sorry I have not seen anymore as Spanish Television does not tell you a lot. You are telling me much much more than what they do great Post. Take care.

It might well be good yes as most of the things I get to know about are from the outside of the Country. Great to have a sense of humour. Have a great day CE.xxx

Actually Mr. Rajoy is not my favourite and it seems almost everyone is against him but really the others left him a real big mess to clean up after them that is what they do not want to remember. Like saying "Nah, somebody else did that". I don´t put all my hopes on him because I know he is the only one and his other Guy to help him out that will do all he can to steer us into clear calm waters and believe you me this is a real big mess.

This entire political garbage wrenches my gut. This morning I heard that Trump loves junk food. Will he do away with healthy lunches for the children? I am deeply sad. The folks that are near to me in spirit are beyond sick with grief and horror.

Yes, this a fine mess that a minority of the voters has the rest of us in. Bannon was the worst thing Trump has done so far. He is a racist and misogynist as well.He is talking about the mad man Giuliani as a possible Secretary of State. He is anything but a diplomat. Newt Gingrich is another cabinet possibility and a total jerk.

@celticeagle Well, as it turned out neither Newt nor Rudy made the cut for a cabinet position but those who did are as bad or worse. Here we're going to have, if the Senate doesn't block them, an EPA Director who doesn't believe in climate change, an Education Secretary who doesn't believe in our public school system, and Health and Human Service Secretary who wants to do away with Medicare and Medicaid as we know it and who doesn't believe there's a single woman anywhere who can't afford to pay for her own birth control out of pocket, an Energy Secretary with no background in science and who actually wanted to do away with the department he's now going to head and a Secretary of State who's Putin's best buddy and who's spent his entire life working for Exxon and recent years going against the interest of his country in order to increase profits for his company. Those are just a few of the creatures he's pulled out of the swamp he promised to drain.

No, no, NOOOOO, we don't need to give Trump a chance! I mean, how long do you think we should just sit blindly by and let him bring about our total destruction? We've had plenty of time to see him for what he is and he's a horrible person, a pathological liar and a narcissist. There is NOTHING normal about this past campaign or this transition and there will be nothing normal about this Administration. We MUST speak out against the outrageous and harmful thing he's going to try to do by contacting our Senators and House members and peacefully protesting when we can.

@anniepa .....We have to give him a chance now. We need to be classy and not be loud now. It is too late. Hopefully people learned a lesson and won't vote him in again.
